About

I began my theatre career at age seven in my Elementary school’s production of BEETHOVEN’S BOOKWORMS as a proud purple bookworm. Since then I have fallen in love with the performing arts, and found my niche in the blending of art and science as a lighting and multimedia designer. I am profoundly inspired by the storytelling and collaboration.  I thrive most when given the opportunity to discover with the inspired creativity and intelligence of those whom I’ve had the pleasure of working with.

I’m also quite fond of children’s books, smokey single-malts, good coffee, colourful socks, negative space, and my delightful beast of a kitten named Rorschach.

I have been educated in Denver, Swindon, Providence, Amherst, and Washington DC, graduating with a BA in lighting and physics from Hampshire College in 2009 and an MFA in lighting design from the University of Maryland. I’m currently bi-coastal, frequently bouncing between San Francisco, New York City, and Washington, DC.

“The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and all science.”

– Albert Einstein
