My first introduction to a life in the theatre began in my elementary school’s production of "Beethoven's Bookworms." I was a proud purple bookworm. Since then I have fallen in love with the performing arts and in particular with the blending of art and science as a lighting and multimedia designer. I am profoundly inspired by storytelling. I thrive most when I collaborate and discover with the many artists, directors, and designers that I've had the pleasure of working with.
I’m quite fond of smokey single-malts, good coffee, dinosaurs, negative space, and my delightful fruit-bat of a mutt named Jinx Monsoon. I have been educated in Denver, Swindon, Providence, Amherst, and Washington DC. I graduated with a BA in lighting and physics from Hampshire College in 2009 and an MFA in lighting design from the University of Maryland in 2013. In 2015, I joined USA 829.
